Nextenders (NT) is a member of UN/CEFACT
or United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business is an international
body under the United Nations which is responsible for setting up international
electronic document exchange standards for Government-to-Government (G2G) and Government-to-Business
(G2B).
UN/CEFACT supports activities dedicated to improving the ability of business, trade
and administrative organisations, from developed, developing and transitional economies,
to exchange products and relevant services effectively.
Its primary focus is on facilitating national and international transactions, through
the simplification and harmonisation of processes, procedures and information flows,
thereby contributing to the growth of global commerce. India is a signatory to UN/CEFACT.
Since 2005, we have been involved with Trade and Business Group 6 (TBG6) of the
UN/CEFACT which has been working on international standards for electronic tendering
and contract financial execution management, among other projects.
NT is specifically the Project Manager in charge of establishing e-Procurement security
standards within this framework. We also are involved with the development of a
new worldwide standard for e-Tendering based on an eBXML schema which is now ratified
by UN/CEFACT member-states, including India.
