Meet the team leading Nextenders

Tapan Mehta

CEO

Tapan Mehta is a co-founder and the CEO of Nextenders Group, responsible for driving the Group‘s business strategy. Tapan provides leadership and direction to new business development, international sales, intellectual property management, legal/compliance, and investor relations.

Prior to founding Nextenders, Tapan worked in Germany, Switzerland and the UK in diverse manufacturing, sales and OEM roles. He also co-founded the first B2B marketplace for the textile engineering industry.

Since founding Nextenders he has steered the company from a garage start-up into an international group with customers on three continents. His vision is for Nextenders to be the dominant global complex-procurement software supplier, under-pinned by future-proof technology and processes.

Tapan has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh and Masters Degree in Set Theory from King’s College, London. He also holds a Diploma in International Business Management from WebsterUniversity (London).

Sumeet Bhatt

Chief Operating Officer

Sumeet is a co-founder of Nextenders and its COO. He is responsible for operations and financial control. Sumeet’s first career was as a professional cricketer. He then gained 14 years’ senior management experience in engineering, marketing and sales in India, Europe, South East Asia, and the Middle East. Thereafter Sumeet notched up 13 years experience in the IT sector, becoming a Managing Partner of India Radio & Electronics Corporation.

In 2002 Sumeet had the idea that led to the creation of Nextenders. His energy and vision have played a pivotal role in the company ever since. He drove the successful roll-out of Nextenders’ systems across large state government and public sector clients and has been central to the high growth levels that Nextenders has enjoyed consistently since we began.

Sujeet Bhatt

Chief Technical Officer

Sujeet is Nextenders’ Chief Technical Officer, responsible for international business and building the company’s technological roadmap. He is also the company’s nominated project manager in the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) forum for security in government procurement. In this role he is also involved in the development of the UN/CEFACT TBG6 worldwide standard for eTendering.

Sujeet has over 20 years’ experience in technical translation and documentation for European and American clientele, and is fluent in German, Dutch and several Indian languages. He is our technical expert, motivated by the opportunity to create social transformation through technology. In the Nextenders’ context, Sujeet is driven by the opportunities that eProcurement provides to make a real difference in people’s lives, and to deliver genuine societal benefits.
