NexTenders (India) Pvt Ltd is an IT company based in India in existence for 7 years and has been in the area of eGovernance. We offer solutions to Governments to manage their business processes. The primary business of the company is to offer Electronic Government Procurement as a hosted service to Government Agencies and Public Sector Undertakings in India and elsewhere. We are officially the project manager in the UN/CEFACT for security in electronic transactions and employ the proprietary patented Secure Bid Process (arguably the only foolproof process) to secure the transactions in sealed bidding which is the primary business process in government tendering. The procurement solution offered by us is end-to-end and enables enterprise-wide procurement process automation, rendering the process entirely paperless. The solution is branded NexTenders Electronic Government Procurement (eGP) System.

The Group provides Internet-based software solutions to enable businesses and professionals to migrate their business processes online. Banking on the inherent efficiencies offered by the Internet through its 'anytime-anywhere' facilities, its core competency lies in offering business-to-business software consultancy and solutions.

The Group’s core products and services are Application Service Provider (‘ASP’) based e-marketplaces, e-business portals, and electronic tender management systems with complete transactional facilities.

The NexTenders eGP System provides an electronic platform that enables end-to-end automation of all activities in the Government Procurement Process: Requirement Generation through Contract Fulfillment. The eGP System is entirely web-based, browser based (to assure the widest reach) and entirely compliant with PKI and the prescriptions of the IT Act 2000. While the system utilizes the state-of-the-art technologies based on cryptography to secure transactions both in the public domain and those internal to the organization, the application interfaces are highly optimized to work even on low bandwidth dial-up internet connections. This ensures accessibility in the remotest and the most rural parts of the country.
The eGP System implements 4-tier architecture and provides a common interface to all parties involved in the procurement process and enforces access-based privileges. All critical transactions in the various modules of the eGP System are workflow driven. This achieves two objectives: to guide the users through the transactions and, to ensure that only those transactions that are legally valid can be executed.
All transactions including the maintenance of the system masters and the application configuration parameters are secured by comments that have to be digitally signed and are automatically time-stamped. Additionally, audit trails of all transactions are maintained.
The eGP System incorporates implementations of certain patented processes and technologies that enable solutions that are incontrovertibly the only ones that adequately address key concern areas and challenges in government procurement.

In early 2002, Next Markets envisaged that Public Sector Entities (‘PSE’) such as state governments, PSUs, etc. in India ought also to benefit from internet-age efficiencies applied to their business processes. Next Markets realized that a critical area for PSE, viz. tendering, had not been suitably addressed by the IT industry and that there was substantial scope for an Indian PSE to reduce costs and increase efficiencies by addressing this area.

Next Markets realized that PSE procurement, or tendering, was a unique set of business processes that required a customized solution. As a result, and after 9 months of in-house development, Next Markets has released in December 2002 its NexTenders electronic tender management system, available for a PSE either as a hosted ASP service or as a readily procurable license. NexTenders replaces the 50-year-old manual government procurement systems with computerized web-interfaced alternatives.

NexTenders is at Level 4 – Integrated Process in E-tendering sophistication. At this level, tender and bid preparations are integrated processes, replacing manual equivalents and bid evaluations are part of the integrated process stream. NexTenders tendering system is live in Chhattisgarh at level-4 .
